1、 Instrument Introduction

Dynamic Particle Image Particle Size Shape AnalyzerAdopting a free fall and ultrasonic dispersion mode, the instrument is capable of real-time collection, analysis of dynamic particle image particle size distribution, aspect ratio, roundness morphology distribution and other parameter detection of dry sample particles within the range of 10-10000 microns. 2、 Measurement principle and technical parameters

2.1 Measurement principle

The optical path system of the dynamic particle image particle size and shape analyzer adopts a parallel light source (telecentric optical path) combined with a telecentric lens. The dry sample particles are uniformly transported to the feeding port through a vibrating feeder. The particles are dispersed by free fall and pass through the measurement optical path area. With the help of a high-speed industrial camera, real-time images of falling particles are captured. The measurement principle is shown in Figure 1. The particle image is processed using digital image processing software to calculate and analyze the clear image of each captured particle. The particle image is then transformed into a binary image to obtain the projected area S, projected perimeter, and the length b and width a of the minimum bounding rectangle. The particle size parameters such as area equivalent diameter, roundness, and aspect ratio are calculated. The result of the binary processing of the particle digital image is shown in Figure 2. The telecentric optical path system has a high contrast profile. The telecentric optical path reduces the diffuse reflection of objects, thereby improving the contrast and measurement accuracy of particle edges.
