Double Sigma mixer - the choice of high viscosity materials!

The Two Sigma mixer consists of two "U" descriptors made of low carbon steel or stainless steel (SUS304, SUS321, SUS316L), covered on both sides with carbon steel sheaths for heating or cooling.

The mixing element of the Double Sigma mixer consists of two Z-shaped cast steel blades. They rotate inward in reverse and are installed tightly or with specific gaps in the mixing chamber to achieve uniform mixing. Two blades rotate at different speeds (usually around 3/2).

Double Sigma Mixer Kneading Machine

1. Working principle:

The Two Sigma mixer is used for kneading, mixing, crushing, dispersing, and re polymerizing high viscosity slurries or elastoplastic materials that cannot be processed by ordinary powder mixers and liquid mixers.

The Double Sigma mixer is an ideal equipment for various chemical products, with the advantages of uniform stirring and efficient kneading. The material is scraped, stretched, folded, and compressed between the blade, groove wall, and ridge like protrusions.

The material circulates from one end of the impeller to the other end. Two stirring blades are tangent and rotate at different speeds to complete the kneading process. Tilt the solvent to discharge the material.

2. Purpose:

The Double Sigma mixer is widely used in the production of high viscosity sealants, silicone rubber, neutral and acidic glass adhesives, chewing gum, bubble gum, pulp, cellulose, as well as in industries such as batteries, inks, pigments, dyes, pharmaceuticals, resins, plastics, rubber, cosmetics, etc.

3. Category:

There are four types of Double Sigma mixers: vacuum kneading machine, pressure kneading machine, atmospheric pressure kneading machine, and high-temperature kneading machine. It has three discharge methods: hydraulic steering cylinder pumping, ball valve, and screw extrusion.

4. Characteristics:

Real time control and recording of temperature, time, viscosity and other related data through PLC during the production process.

The parts of the cylinder and blades that come into contact with the material are made of stainless steel to ensure the quality of the product.

Kneading machine can be used for high viscosity pastes or plastic solids with poor flowability around 5000PA. And the jacket can be heated or cooled by thermal oil or water. According to special requirements, the device can be designed to operate in vacuum. The speed difference between the two axes is 7.52r/min, which causes the material to constantly change and mix rapidly, resulting in a larger transmission area per unit volume.
