In the hot forming process of compression quenching, the steel plate to be formed is heated to about 950 ℃, which is the austenitizing temperature, in a continuous furnace. Then, through a conveyor tool such as a robot, the hot sheet is placed into a pressure quenching machine equipped with a special water cooling system. As the quenching mold closes, the data undergoes deformation. Meanwhile, the cooling system instantly takes away the heat from the steel plate within a few seconds. Rapid cooling causes the steel plate to form a martensitic microstructure, ensuring that the material has both high strength and hardness.
