1. American MAC valve

The MAC100 series is a three-way lift valve operated directly by electromagnetic means. It has a short stroke solenoid valve, a balance lift valve, and a reset spring. These characteristics translate into high shifting force, fast and consistent response time, and long lifespan. Their balanced design means the versatility of the pipeline - valves can be configured as 3-way or 2-way - normally closed or first open, or can be used for vacuum, splitter, or selector applications. The MAC 1100 series is a multifunctional three-way mechanical operated valve. This series has multiple manual operation options, ranging from levers and buttons to cam and remote pneumatic versions.

When the pilot valve needs maintenance, simply tighten the adjusting screw B and isolation screw C to remove it, and manual screw operation can be used. This screw can also be used to preset the maximum or minimum flow rate for automatic control of MAC solenoid valves.



What are the working principles, classifications, and parameters of MAC solenoid valves?

When the MAC solenoid valve is laminar, the flow rate of the medium passing through the valve is linearly related to the pressure difference before and after the valve. In the mixed state of laminar and turbulent flow, as the Reynolds number increases, even if the pressure difference remains constant, the amount of medium flowing through the valve will also increase. In turbulent flow, the flow rate does not vary with changes in Reynolds number. However, the selection of small flow regulating valves is still carried out using traditional methods and calculation formulas. However, its calculated value deviates greatly from the actual value. According to data, when Cv is below 0.01, it is only used as a capacity indicator and has reference significance. The actual circulation capacity should be determined based on experience. As the flow capacity decreases, the adjustable ratio of the valve will decrease. But even a small amount can ensure a flow rate between 10:1 and 15:1. If the adjustable ratio is even smaller, it will be difficult to adjust the flow rate.

The commonly used valve seat aperture is 1/8 to 1/4 inch (approximately 3.17-6.35 millimeters), and the stem stroke of this type of valve is small, with a flow capacity of 0.00006 or even smaller. Generally speaking, cylindrical slotted valve cores are better in terms of characterization than conical ones. They can obtain design characteristics by changing the groove depth, but the latter has good adjustability because the fluid passing through the valve is distributed throughout the entire circumference of the valve core section. This type of valve is commonly used in situations where precision requirements are not very high. However, the accuracy of capacity and the reproducibility of characteristics are poor. The flow capacity of a valve mainly depends on the diameter of the flow hole. For a 1/16 inch flow hole, the theoretical Cv value is about 0.06, or only close to the upper limit of small flow rate. To further reduce the flow rate, it is necessary to fundamentally reduce the stroke of the valve core or constrain the opening of the flow hole.
