1、 Structural design features
Design characteristics and mass transfer performance analysis of stainless steel stepped ring structure,The stepped flanging structure of stainless steel stepped ring is optimized and improved on the basis of traditional Bower ring. One end of the ring body is equipped with a stepped outer flanging, and the other end is an inner shrinking mouth, breaking the symmetrical structure and allowing the packing to be in point line contact when stacked in the tower, greatly reducing wall flow and groove flow phenomena, and improving the uniformity of the packing layer.
The integrated design of openings and ribs includes regular through holes on the ring wall, combined with internal reinforcement support structure, which increases the specific surface area and porosity while ensuring mechanical strength, and balances corrosion resistance and structural stability. It is suitable for high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive working conditions.
The stepped structure with high porosity and low packing density significantly increases the porosity of the packing, reduces bed resistance and flux, effectively reduces pressure drop inside the tower, reduces equipment operating energy consumption, and is suitable for continuous industrial production needs.

2、 Mass transfer performance analysis
1. The more complete gas-liquid contact and asymmetric structure promote the formation of thin film flow and turbulence on the surface of the packing, prolong the contact time, and enhance mass transfer efficiency. Compared with ordinary annular packing, the separation efficiency is significantly improved.
2. The stacking method of point line contact with reduced pressure and high processing capacity reduces fluid resistance, lowers tower pressure, and reduces energy consumption under the same processing capacity; High porosity ensures high flux and enhances equipment processing capacity.
3. The excellent anti blocking performance of the regular opening and stepped structure reduces material retention and is not easy to scale and block. It is suitable for distillation, absorption, desorption and other processes containing impurities and easily coking media.
4. Widely applicable to various operating conditions, with the advantages of efficient mass transfer, low resistance, and corrosion resistance, it is widely used in unit operations such as desulfurization and decarbonization, extraction and purification, and exhaust gas treatment, adapting to different tower diameters and process conditions.
