All DG Plus series degassing machines remove dissolved gases through continuous online degassing, which is applied to Systec ™ On the AF membrane, the membrane is permeable to gases but not liquids. Removing dissolved gases from liquid chromatography mobile phase can reduce retention time drift and improve baseline stability, while also reducing oxygen content, which can interfere with detection techniques such as UV absorption and fluorescence. After removing 50% of the dissolved gas, all issues related to bubbles are usually eliminated, which is crucial in analytical systems and sampling applications.
