It is not easy to locate the location of gas leaks, especially in factory areas with multiple potential leak sources. It is difficult to identify the exact leakage points in ammonia refrigeration pipelines, ozone generator pipelines, and hazardous gas pipeline systems.
ATI's newly launched PortaSens III portable leak detector (D16) is highly suitable for locating leak sources or measuring gas concentrations at work sites. By using the built-in sampling pump and sampling rod, samples can be extracted from accurate locations where leaks may exist. It is easy to detect areas around valve seals, flanges, compression joints, and other system components to detect high gas content near leakage points.
The principle of PortaSens III is similar to the previous generation product PortaSens II, which has been widely used for the past 15 years. The interior of the new detector has been redesigned with modern USB computer interface, color touch screen, and improved sampling pump control. Like the original version, the D16 detector only requires inserting the corresponding gas sensor to measure various gases. D16 can use over 60 different sensors, providing a high degree of flexibility. Sensors can be quickly replaced without calibration.
The PortaSens III uses ATI's H-series intelligent sensor module. Each sensor module actually includes tightly packaged sensors, amplifiers, and memory modules. Due to this design approach, the sensor module can be calibrated separately and inserted into any D16 detector for direct use.
When installed in the detector, calibration data will be loaded into the microprocessor and no further adjustments are required. The advantage is that, for example, the detector can switch from measuring phosgene to measuring ammonia in less than a minute.
Characteristics
Interchangeable 'intelligent adaptive sensors' for flexible selection of measuring gases
New infrared sensors for methane and carbon dioxide
Internal sampling pump and external sampling rod
One handed grip handle design
Rechargeable nickel hydrogen "D" type batteries or alkaline batteries
Easy to read color backlit display screen
Instant and timed sampling modes
Visual and audible alarms
Built in 4 Gb data logger with USB output
Smart Sensor
The basic PortaSens III detector does not include a sensor module. Since D16 is designed to accept any ATI smart sensor module, you must choose one or several sensors. Each sensor module undergoes factory calibration at the factory and can be used by plugging it into the D16 socket. Each module can record data within specified small and large programs.
