Overview
Shrinkage meter is used to determine the shrinkage limit water content, linear shrinkage rate, volumetric shrinkage, and shrinkage coefficient of clay during the process of dehydration.
Product Details
SS-1 type shrinkage tester
1、 SS-1 Shrinkage Tester Purpose:
The SS-1 shrinkage tester is used to determine the shrinkage limit moisture content, linear shrinkage rate, volumetric shrinkage, and shrinkage coefficient of clay during the dehydration process.
According to the "Soil Test Regulations" (SL237-026-1999) and "Highway Soil Test Regulations" (JTJ051-93, T0121-93), the shrinkage limit moisture content, linear shrinkage rate, volumetric shrinkage, shrinkage coefficient, etc. of clay during water loss process shall be determined.
2、 Main technical parameters of SS-1 shrinkage tester:
1. Ratio of porous plate area to pore area:<>
2. Diameter of micrometer block: Φ 10mm x 4mm
3. Diameter of soil cutting ring knife: Φ 61.8mm x 20mm (sample area: 30cm2 x 2cm)
4. Instrument size: 110 x 105 x 125mm (length x width x height)
5. Instrument weight: 1kg
3、 Main components of SS-1 shrinkage tester:
The soil shrinkage meter consists of a main body and a quasi soil part.
1. The main body consists of a base plate, a stem, a clamp, and a porous plate.
2. The quasi soil part consists of a guide ring, a ring knife, a positioning ring, and a bulldozer head.
3. The dial gauge is not included at the factory and should be provided by the user.
4、 SS-1 Shrinkage Tester Usage and Maintenance:
Apply Vaseline inside the ring knife. Push the soil sample out of the ring knife and weigh it immediately. Place the sample on a porous plate, put it into the instrument, weigh it properly, record the initial reading, and conduct a shrinkage test at a constant temperature of 20 ° C (can be equipped with a 1/10000 kg balance). Then, according to the geotechnical test procedure (SDS.01-79), operate until the reading on the scale remains basically unchanged, and then dry the soil sample at a temperature of 100-105 ° C until it reaches a constant weight, and weigh the soil. Measure the quantity from two horizontal and four vertical positions on the meter, and then calculate. After use, the instrument should be wiped clean and coated with a thin layer of grease to prevent rusting.
