1、 Characteristics, Structure, and Working Principle of Transformer Strong Oil Water Cooler

Transformer oil-water cooler is a new type of widely used heat exchange equipment, which has a series of advantages such as high heat transfer efficiency, low resistance loss, stable and reliable operation, compact structure, and low price. Since the late 1960s, China has been researching, manufacturing, and formulating corresponding technical standards. It has accumulated a lot of experience in manufacturing and use, and is now widely used in industrial sectors such as petrochemical refrigeration, organic chemical food, dye alkali pharmaceutical, machinery, metallurgy, etc. It has been used as a transformer cooler for nearly 20 years and has achieved excellent results. The spiral plate strong oil-water cooler is a spiral body made of two 2-3mm thick coils rolled into two uniform spiral channels. Weld connecting pipes and flanges at both ends of the two spiral channels, namely the upper and lower parts of the spiral body and the tangential direction of the outer edge. There is a carrier liquid (oil and water) in each channel that exchanges heat in a fully countercurrent state. The cooling area is the product of the unfolded length of two steel plates and the width of the steel plates. In order to enhance the stiffness of the steel plate and increase the critical pressure of the spiral body, fixed distance columns with a certain density are welded on the same phase surface of the two steel plates. This can also increase the fluid flow, increase the Reynolds number, and improve heat transfer efficiency.

Due to the uniform curvature of the spiral channel, there is no significant reversal of the fluid in the channel, resulting in low resistance and no dead corners. In order to improve heat transfer efficiency, the fluid flow rate in the channel is usually increased to prevent blockage by dirt, and the channel itself has self-cleaning function. In addition, there are exhaust (liquid) holes in the two spiral channels for easy operation and can be used for sampling and testing.

2、 Characteristics:

1. High heat transfer efficiency

The total heat transfer coefficient can reach up to 3300Kcal/m2. h ℃, and the heat transfer effect is better than that of YF (air-cooled) spiral plate cooler. The heat transfer coefficient is 1-3 times that of traditional tube cooling, which saves energy and has good economy.

2. Less heat loss

This oil cooler has a compact structure, occupies a small area, and has a small exposed surface area. If the ambient temperature fluid flows from the outer edge channel to the center of the oil cooler, there is no need for insulation.

3. Reliable structure

The oil and water channels are rolled as a whole plate, welded and sealed to ensure that oil and water do not mix during heat exchange, thus enabling the safe operation of the transformer.

4. Self cleaning function

This strong oil-water cooler can increase the liquid flow rate appropriately while ensuring that the pressure drop in the channel is not significant, which can improve the heat transfer effect. The liquid flows in a spiral shape and has an automatic cleaning function, making it difficult for dirt to deposit, thereby reducing parking and maintenance costs.

3、 Technical parameters:

1. The nominal pressure is specified as 0.6Mpa (note: refers to the super large working pressure that a single channel can withstand, and our factory's test pressure is 1.25 times the design pressure).

2. Allowable working temperature: The allowable temperature range for carbon steel heat exchangers is 1 ℃ to+200 ℃, and the allowable temperature range for stainless steel heat exchangers is 1 ℃ to+300 ℃. The allowable temperature rise and drop range for carbon steel heat exchangers should be in accordance with relevant operating regulations.

3. When selecting equipment, appropriate process calculations should be carried out to select the appropriate working state of the fluid, so that the fluid in the oil cooler channel reaches a turbulent state (generally liquid flow rate ≥ 1m/sec, gas flow rate ≤ 10m/sec).

4. Users can choose different materials according to different working conditions.

5. When using a single cooler, dual oil pumps are generally used, with one used and the other as a backup. If a single device cannot meet the usage requirements, multiple devices can be used in combination, but the combination must comply with the following regulations:

① Parallel combination: limited to heat exchangers of the same specification;

② Series combination: The plate width and channel spacing of the heat exchanger should be the same.

③ Hybrid combination: One channel in parallel and another channel in series, limited to heat exchangers of the same specification.

6. Installation forms: horizontal and vertical. To ensure that the materials are completely discharged after parking, a vertical conveyor belt is used.

7. The orientation of the connecting pipe for the strong oil-water cooler shall be based on the product's factory drawings, and the nominal diameter of the pipe shall be selected according to Table 1. If the user has special requirements, they can negotiate with the technical department of our factory. After the user selects the specifications, they can send a letter to request a reference drawing of the external dimensions.
