Coke with insufficient calorific value will increase the fuel to coke ratio in ironmaking, affecting the smelting process and thus increasing costs. Coke with insufficient strength is fragile and produces powder in the furnace, affecting the permeability of the blast furnace and thus affecting its smooth operation. For the furnace body, coke has no effect on it. The quality of coke has an impact on iron. Good coke reduces iron more fully from oxides and can provide sufficient heat. There are many factors that affect the reactivity and post reaction strength of coke, which are discussed from the perspectives of temperature, heating time, heating element, and sample analysis location.

1. Strictly follow national standards for sample preparation, and select samples with similar particle size and shape.
2. The number of particles in the test sample should be controlled between 28-32.
3. The sample needs to be dried in an oven at a temperature of 170 ℃ -180 ℃ before being loaded into the reactor. After drying for 2 hours to remove any adsorbed moisture on the outer surface of the sample, it should be placed in a dryer and cooled to room temperature.
4. When loading samples into the reactor, the reactor should be tilted and loaded one by one. After installation, attach the flange and gently shake the sample flat in a vertical reactor.
5. When placing the reactor on the tray of the elevator, install insulation materials on top of the tray and around the reactor flange to reduce heat dissipation.
6. Before starting the temperature control system, the temperature of the sample must reach thermal equilibrium with the temperature of the heating furnace body.
7. The number of particles in the test sample should be equal to the number of particles after the reaction and also equal to the number of particles with strength after the reaction.
8. If the particle size of the sample after the reaction and after the rotary drum is particularly small or has abnormal appearance, it indicates that the sampling is not good and the representativeness of the data is poor.
9. The top of the central thermocouple should be inserted into the top of the thermocouple sleeve, which is the center of the material layer.
10. Regularly inspect the appearance of thermocouples and reactors, and replace them promptly if there are any abnormalities.
11. Regularly calibrate the flow rate of carbon dioxide gas using a wet gas flowmeter.
12. Regularly check the airtightness of the gas supply system to prevent air leakage.
13. Regularly check the color of the discolored silicone gel in the dust removal pipe, and replace it when the color changes.
14. The content of carbon dioxide should reach 99.99%.
15. The screw of the elevator should be lubricated every 2 months.
