Caprisil C18-B is a highly alkaline deactivated, high carbon loading, and high-density stationary phase produced through multiple steps. Instructions for using reverse phase chromatography column
1、 Conventional flushing method under mobile phase conditions
1. Before use: If methanol water or acetonitrile water is used as the mobile phase, the sample can be directly equilibrated with the mobile phase for 40 minutes before baseline stabilization.
2. After use: Rinse with pure methanol or acetonitrile water (70:30) for more than 40 minutes and store.
2、 The mobile phase contains buffer salts
1. Transition before use: Transition with 90% water and organic phase for 40-60 minutes. Then, after 40 minutes of equilibration under mobile phase conditions, the sample is taken (if under gradient conditions, the initial gradient equilibrium is followed).
2. Rinse after use: Rinse with 90% water and organic phase for at least 60 minutes. Then rinse with pure methanol or acetonitrile water (70:30) for more than 40 minutes and store.
3、 The mobile phase contains ion pair reagents
1. Transition before use: Transition with 90% water and organic phase for 40-60 minutes. Then equilibrate the sample under mobile phase conditions for 120 minutes (if it is under gradient conditions, follow the initial gradient equilibrium).
2. Rinse after use: Rinse with 90% water and organic phase for at least 180 minutes. Then rinse with pure methanol or acetonitrile water (70:30) for more than 40 minutes and store.
Note:
1.Factory storage conditions:70:30=Acetonitrile: Water.
2.It is recommended to use a dedicated column for chromatography columns containing ion pair reagents.
3.It is recommended to store it in the factory solvent condition for long-term non use, and it is strictly prohibited to store it in a mobile phase containing salt.
