Glass rotor flowmeter is a precision instrument based on the principle of float displacement to measure the flow rate of single-phase non pulsating fluids (liquids or gases). Its core structure consists of a vertically installed conical glass tube and an internally movable float, which intuitively reflects the flow rate through the height of the float. It has the characteristics of intuitive reading, simple structure, and strong corrosion resistance, and is widely used in multiple fields such as chemical engineering, environmental protection, medicine, and food.

working principle
When the fluid flows through the conical glass tube from bottom to top, a pressure difference is formed on the upper and lower end faces of the float, pushing it up. When the upward force exerted on the float (due to the combined action of fluid dynamic pressure and buoyancy) is balanced with gravity, the float stabilizes at a specific height, which is linearly related to the flow rate. The scale on the cone tube calibrates the flow value and can directly read the instantaneous flow rate.

Transparent cone tube design: Made of high borosilicate glass material, it is resistant to high temperature and pressure, and can directly observe the position of the float, with accurate readings.
Float optimization: The float is made of stainless steel, aluminum, or bronze, and some models come with guide rods or inclined slots to ensure stable movement and prevent collision with the pipe wall.

Precautions
During installation, it is necessary to fix it vertically to avoid transmitting pipeline stress to the flowmeter.
The fluid should be a single-phase non pulsating flow, and a filter should be installed when it contains particles or dirt.
During operation, the valve should be slowly opened/closed to prevent water hammer or sudden pressure changes from damaging the glass tube.
Regularly clean the cone tube and float to ensure measurement accuracy; The float needs to be recalibrated after wear and tear.
