Ceramic electric heating plate, cosmetic raw material heating plateIt is the core basic equipment of the cosmetics research and development laboratory. With the characteristics of accurate temperature control, uniform heating and convenient operation, it runs through the whole process from raw material pretreatment to finished product stability test. It is a tool for research and development of cream, lotion, essence, cosmetics and other products. Its specific functions and application scenarios are as follows:
1、 Raw material dissolution and pretreatment: breaking the form limitation and ensuring compatibility of raw materials
Cosmetics raw materials come in various forms (solid, wax, oil, powder), most of which require heating to dissolve or homogenize, laying the foundation for subsequent formula mixing:
Melting of solid/waxy raw materials: beeswax, lanolin, wax in lipstick and lipstick, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol and other grease and wax raw materials in cream need to be heated to 60-85 ℃ to melt them into liquid state before they can be evenly mixed with other oil components; Film forming agents (such as shellac) in eye black and eyeliner also need to be heated and dissolved to adjust the viscosity and film forming ability.
Pre dispersion of powder raw materials: Mica and other powder fillers, or high molecular weight thickeners such as hyaluronic acid and carbomer, can be directly added to the system, which is prone to clumping. By heating the solvent (water or oil) with a heating plate and adding the powder while stirring, agglomeration can be reduced and the dispersion stability of the raw materials in the formula can be improved.
2、 Formula emulsification and homogenization: creating stable texture and enhancing user experience
The core of cream, lotion, liquid foundation and other emulsion cosmetics is "oil-water dispersion system", and heating is the key prerequisite for successful emulsification:
Heating of oil phase/water phase separately: Before emulsification, the oil phase components (oil, wax, emulsifier) and water phase components (deionized water, moisturizer, preservative) need to be heated to the same temperature (usually 70-85 ℃) through a heating plate to reduce the interfacial tension between the two phases, create conditions for the emulsifier to function, and avoid emulsification failure due to temperature differences (such as delamination and effluent).
Assisted homogenization emulsification: under the heating state, the oil phase and water phase are mixed and stirred by the homogenizer. The continuous heat preservation of the heating plate can maintain the fluidity of the system, help to form smaller and even emulsified particles (particle size is usually less than 20 μ m), make the finished product texture more delicate and smooth (such as the compactness of face cream and the refreshing fluidity of lotion), improve the long-term stability of the emulsified system, and reduce the risk of layering and demulsification during storage.
Makeup formula integration: the mixture of pigments (such as titanium dioxide and iron oxide) in liquid foundation, air cushion BB, powder, grease and moisturizing ingredients needs to be heated to 50-60 ℃ through a heating plate, and the pigment should be fully dispersed in the base material with mixing to avoid color lumps and sticking powder in the finished product, and meanwhile improve the fitting degree and concealer power of the makeup.
3、 Raw material/finished product stability testing: simulate usage scenarios to verify product reliability
Cosmetics need to undergo strict stability testing to ensure that their performance meets the standards within the shelf life. The heating plate is the core tool for simulating high-temperature environments
Accelerated stability test: Place the sample in a constant temperature environment (45 ° C, 50 ° C, or 60 ° C) controlled by a heating plate for 1-3 months, simulate the high temperature scenarios that the product may encounter during transportation and storage, regularly observe the appearance (color, texture), odor, pH value, viscosity changes of the sample, determine whether there are problems such as delamination, odor, precipitation, etc., and then determine the shelf life of the product.
Heat resistance cycle test: Some products need to undergo a "high temperature room temperature low temperature" cycle test (such as heating at 45 ℃ for 24 hours, leaving at room temperature for 24 hours, and freezing at 18 ℃ for 24 hours). The heating plate is used to accurately control the temperature during the high temperature stage, verify the stability of the product under temperature changes, and avoid product deterioration caused by environmental temperature changes during consumer use.
Raw material stability verification: Newly purchased raw materials (such as oils, fats, and active substances) need to be tested for heat resistance. They should be heated to a specific temperature (such as 80 ℃) through a heating plate and kept at that temperature for a certain period of time. The raw materials should be observed for oxidation, discoloration, and decomposition to ensure their performance stability during formula production and product use.
4、 Special Process Assistance: Adapting to Personalized Formula Requirements
Solvent volatilization control: Some anhydrous formulas (such as lip gloss, essential oils) or products that require residual solvent removal can slowly evaporate small amounts of solvents (such as ethanol, acetone) in the system by low-temperature heating (30-40 ℃) with a heating plate and ventilation to avoid solvent residue affecting product safety or odor.
Preparation of gel products: Carbomer, xanthan gum and other thickening agents in aloe gel, essence gel and other products need to be fully swollen under heating (40-50 ℃), and then adjust the pH value through neutralizer to form a gel network. The precise temperature control of the heating plate can avoid excessive swelling or caking of the thickening agent, and ensure the uniformity and elasticity of the gel texture.
Wax based product shaping: For wax based products such as lipstick and eyebrow pencil, the melted raw materials need to be poured into a mold and slowly cooled and solidified through a heating plate with low temperature insulation (40-50 ℃) to avoid rapid cooling and the formation of bubbles and cracks inside the product, ensuring that the product has a regular shape and solid texture.
5、 Core advantage: Key features adapted to R&D scenarios
The core requirements of cosmetics research and development for heating plates are "precision, uniformity, and safety"
High temperature control accuracy (± 1 ℃): meets the strict temperature requirements for dissolution and emulsification of different raw materials, avoiding temperature deviation that may cause formula failure;
Adjustable heating area and uniform heating: Suitable for beakers and flasks of different specifications (50mL-5L), avoiding local overheating that may cause oxidation or burning of raw materials;
Safety protection: Most laboratory heating plates are equipped with anti dry burning, over temperature alarm, and anti slip design, which can avoid safety risks caused by solvent leakage and operational errors during the research and development process;
Easy to operate: digital temperature display, one click temperature control, can be used synchronously with a magnetic stirrer to improve research and development efficiency.
In short, the heating plate is a helper for raw material pretreatment, the core for formula emulsification, and a tool for stability testing in cosmetics research and development. From basic formula construction to finished product reliability verification, every key link cannot be separated from its support. It is one of the core equipment to ensure product quality and improve research and development efficiency.
