It has extremely low levels of antibodies and complement, making it a high-quality source of serum for cell culture.
Main function: Provide growth factors, hormones, binding proteins, nutrients, maintain cell proliferation and adhesion, commonly added in proportion5% -10% to basic culture medium (such as DMEM, RPMI 1640).

1）Appearance: Light yellow clear, no hemolysis, no foreign matter, slightly viscous.

2）Key indicator: Total protein3.5% - 5.0%（w/v）； Hemoglobin ≤ 25 mg/dL; Endotoxins ≤ 5 EU/mL; Aseptic, mycoplasma, bovine diarrhea virus, and Escherichia coli bacteriophage are all negative.

3） Cell support:Sp2/0-Ag14 cell proliferation concentration ≥ 2.5 × 10 ⁶ cells/mL, doubling time ≤ 15 h, cloning rate ≥ 85%.

4) Processing: Common 0.1 μ m triple filtration, can be thermally inactivated (56 ℃, 30 min) or gamma irradiated (25-35 kGy) as needed.

Storage and usage points：

Storage:-Long term storage at 20 ℃ (recommended ≤ 2 years); Short term storage at 4 ℃ for ≤ 1 month; To avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, it is recommended to divide into small portions of 50-100 mL.

Usage: After thawingThaw overnight at 4 ℃ or quickly in a 37 ℃ water bath, gently mix well, and add to the culture medium under sterile conditions; Thermal inactivation requires evaluation of cell type, and it is not recommended to inactivate some stem cells/primary cells.
