Carbon brush DCBrush_ Rotating disk electrode accessories

Carbon brush is a device that transfers energy or signals between the fixed and rotating parts of an electric motor, generator, or other rotating machinery. It is clamped on a metal bracket and is tightly pressed against the shaft by a spring inside. When the motor rotates, the electrical energy is transmitted to the coil through the inverter. Due to its main component being carbon, it is called carbon brush.

Carbon brush is one of the core components of the rotating disk electrode device, which directly rubs against the high-speed rotating electrode rotating rod and conducts electrical signals.

Due to the inevitable wear of carbon brushes during long-term operation, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of carbon brushes in order to maintain the experimental process unaffected. If there are any problems, they should be replaced in a timely manner before the experiment.

Here is a brief introduction to the structure of carbon brush components and the tools required for replacing carbon brush cores:

Specific operating steps:

(1) Grasp the white plastic part of the carbon brush assembly with your hand and unscrew the old carbon brush from the device.

(2) Place your fingers against the carbon brush core to slide the top wire to the middle position of the limit groove, and then use the matching hex wrench to unscrew the top wire counterclockwise. Reminder: The size of the top screw and hexagonal wrench is small, please store them properly.

(3) Remove the old carbon brush core from the plastic bracket. Reminder: Do not discard the carbon brush plastic bracket! Old carbon brush cores can be discarded according to waste requirements.

(4) Replace the carbon brush core with a new one, and vice versa.
