CONTROS underwater in-situ carbon dioxide measuring instrument
4H Jena's probe technology is widely used in inland waters and marine fields for measurement tasks and water quality monitoring. Hydrological parameters can achieve long-term continuous monitoring with extremely low maintenance requirements.
The HydroCCO2 underwater carbon dioxide sensor is widely used in various application fields such as air sea exchange, seawater acidification, lake and marsh research, climate research, agriculture/fisheries, seawater monitoring, etc. It is a unique and universal in-situ monitoring sensor for underwater carbon dioxide.
CO2 molecules dissolved in water diffuse through a special composite membrane from the internal gas path into the detection chamber, and the partial pressure of CO2 determines the absorption spectrum value of IR. The IR intensity is converted into an output signal through calibration coefficients stored in the instrument and sensor data attached to the gas path.
CONTROS HydroC ® The CO ₂ sensor is a unique and multifunctional underwater carbon dioxide sensor suitable for in-situ and online measurement of dissolved CO ₂. CONTROS HydroC ® The CO ₂ sensor is designed for different platforms and supports multiple deployment schemes. For example, it can be installed on mobile platforms such as ROV/AUV, and can also be used for long-term deployment of underwater observation stations, buoys, and mooring equipment, as well as profile measurement applications using water sampling rose wheels.
All sensors are individually calibrated in a simulated deployment temperature water tank. Use a precise reference detector to verify the partial pressure concentration of carbon dioxide in the calibration water tank.
Working principle:
Dissolved CO ₂ molecules diffuse into the internal gas path leading to the detection chamber through a customized thin film composite membrane, and the partial pressure of CO ₂ is measured by infrared absorption spectroscopy in the detection chamber. The concentration related infrared light intensity is converted into output signals through calibration coefficients stored in the firmware and data from other sensors in the gas path.
