The overall installation size is small, and the axial space is small, saving about 44% of axial space compared to standard cylinders.

The thrust and tension of the magnetic coupling rodless cylinder have equal piston areas at both ends, so the values of thrust and tension are equal, making it easy to achieve intermediate positioning. When the piston speed is 250mm/s, the positioning accuracy can reach ± 1.0mm;

The surface of the standard cylinder piston rod is prone to accumulate dust and rust, and the rod sealing ring may suck in dust and impurities, leading to leakage. However, the magnetic coupling rodless cylinder does not have a moving seal on the external slider, so there is no external leakage.

Magnetic coupling rodless cylinders can produce ultra long stroke specifications. The ratio of the inner diameter to stroke of standard cylinders is generally not greater than 1/15, while the ratio of the inner diameter to stroke of rodless cylinders can reach about 1/100. The longest stroke can be produced up to 3m, meeting the needs of long stroke applications.

The working principle of a magnetic coupling rodless cylinder is to install a set of high-strength magnetic rings on the piston. The magnetic lines of force pass through the thin-walled cylinder and interact with another set of magnetic rings inside the outer slider. Due to the opposite magnetic properties of the two sets of magnetic rings, they have strong mutual attraction. When the piston is pushed by air pressure inside the cylinder, it moves. At the same time, the magnetic ring inside the external slider is affected by the magnetic field lines of the magnetic ring on the piston and moves synchronously. The thrust of the cylinder piston must be adapted to the suction force of the inner and outer magnetic rings. When the air pressure is too high or the load is too heavy, resulting in excessive piston thrust and inability to maintain the attraction between the magnetic rings, the inner and outer magnetic rings will detach, causing abnormal operation of the cylinder, which is called off target in professional terms.
