Modern ampoules are made by firing glass tubes and are widely used to hold injection preparations and high-purity chemicals that must be isolated from air. The nipple of the ampoule is sealed with an open flame to isolate air, and the bottleneck is marked. When pressure is applied, the bottleneck will break to facilitate the extraction of the medicine.

Before opening, use a grinding wheel to cut a scratch at the bottleneck, disinfect the bottleneck, raise the nipple to allow all the medicine to flow into the bottle, and then break the bottleneck. Easy to break ampoules indicate the pre cut area by the manufacturer at the nipple, and simply break the nipple in this direction.

Quality requirements

1. Ampoule glass should be colorless and transparent;

2. Small expansion coefficient and good heat resistance;

3. It should have sufficient physical strength to withstand the high pressure difference generated during hot pressing sterilization;

4. High chemical stability, does not change the pH value of the solution;

5. Low melting point, easy to melt and seal;

6. No bubbles, bumps, or sand particles.
