This instrument uses the potential method to indicate the endpoint, and its signal stability is one order of magnitude higher than the commonly used current method. It also uses a specially designed artificial sand core instead of the commonly used glass sand core and ion exchange membrane, making it easy to operate. Compared with similar instruments at home and abroad, it has the characteristics of fast balance speed, good stability, automatic endpoint judgment, accurate results, easy operation, fast analysis speed, automatic data processing, continuous printing, etc.

This instrument can be widely used for the determination of bromine value and bromine index of petroleum and chemical products such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, lubricating oil, and light and heavy aromatic hydrocarbons.

Coulombic titration is an electrochemical analysis method that differs from the volumetric method of adding titration solution. It uses electrolysis to produce a titrant in an electrolytic cell, and calculates the content of the analyte based on Faraday's law of electrolysis and the amount of electricity consumed during electrolysis.

Like the general volumetric titration method, microcoulometric titration also requires a method to indicate the endpoint, among which the commonly used method is the potentiometric method, because it has the advantages of stable signal and high sensitivity. Therefore, in the methods matched with this instrument, the potentiometric method is used to indicate the titration endpoint.

In microcoulometric titration, the electrolytic current is a variable current that varies over time. The magnitude of the current is determined by the signal generated by the sample entering the electrolytic cell. This signal is amplified and transported to the electrolytic cell for electrolysis, producing the titrant. As the measured substance gradually decreases, both the signal and electrolysis current will gradually decrease, ultimately detecting the amount of the measured substance W (grams).
