1. Provide regeneration airflow: Generate a continuous, high-pressure airflow to blow and remove moisture from desiccants (such as alumina and molecular sieves) that have already been adsorbed, achieving the regeneration of desiccants.

2. Blast heating: The high-pressure air flow output from it is heated by a heater (usually electric heating or steam heating) and transformed into high-temperature and low humidity regeneration gas. Hot air can significantly reduce the adsorption force of desiccants on moisture, greatly improving regeneration efficiency and depth.

3. Establish pressure and flow rate: Ensure that the regeneration gas has sufficient pressure to penetrate the desiccant bed and maintain flow rate, so that moisture can effectively desorb and be carried out of the drying tower, while avoiding uneven airflow distribution or the formation of "channeling".

4. Achieving "zero gas consumption": Unlike traditional compression heat or vacuum regeneration, blast heat regeneration uses ambient air as the gas source, which is pressurized and heated by a blower before being used for regeneration. The regenerated humid air is cooled and separated before being discharged, and the entire process does not consume finished compressed air, hence it is called "zero gas consumption".

For example, processing a 100 m ³/min dryer requires a regeneration air volume of approximately 5-15 m ³/min. The specific needs to be determined based on the type of desiccant, regeneration temperature, and cycle calculation.

2. Key parameters of pressure (P). The total system pressure that the blower needs to overcome includes heater resistance, desiccant bed resistance, pipeline valve resistance, and cooler resistance. Insufficient pressure can cause the regeneration airflow to be unable to effectively penetrate the bed layer. The range is usually between 15-50 kPa (approximately 0.15-0.5 bar, or 2.2-7.3 PSI). Among them, the resistance of the desiccant bed is the main part, which will slightly increase with the use time (dust accumulation). It is necessary to confirm the system design resistance curve with the dryer manufacturer.

3. Power (kW) derived parameters. After determining the required air volume and pressure, calculate or have the supplier determine the motor power based on the efficiency curve of the blower. Power=(air volume x pressure)/(efficiency x safety factor). For the above wind pressure range, the power ranges from several kilowatts to tens of kilowatts.
