The 3S-UV254-BOD biochemical oxygen demand analyzer uses a xenon lamp light source and ultraviolet absorption method to analyze the BOD concentration in the measured water quality.

  Many dissolved organic substances have spectral characteristics that can absorb ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 254nm. The xenon lamp generates ultraviolet radiation, which is measured by the sample water in the quartz measurement unit. The receiver analyzed two different wavelengths of light pulses, namely the measurement wavelength (254nm) and the reference wavelength (590nm), where the light was not affected by the presence of organic compounds.


Product Features

  • The instrument adopts a dual compartment housing to ensure complete separation between the electronic components (upper part) and the sampling and analysis components (lower part).

  • The equipment can be set up for automatic calibration, validation, and cleaning, which can reduce downtime and operator intervention, ensuring accurate results.

  • The instrument can use an internal dilution module to expand the detection range of the UV254 analyzer.

  • The principle of UV spectroscopy measurement does not require chemical reagents, resulting in very low operating and maintenance costs.

  • The ultraviolet light source of the instrument adopts xenon lamp, which has the characteristics of high stability and long service life.

  • The analyzer adopts a color touch screen interface to display measurement values and status information. Easy to access menus and functional interfaces. And supports USB data download.

  • You can choose the dual channel version. By adding an external sequencer, the number of sampling channels can be increased to 4.

  • The instrument undergoes factory testing before leaving the factory. Simply connect the power supply, sample and reagent pipelines, and the analyzer can operate.
