This is why Avantes developed the AvaLight-DH-S-BAL balanced deuterium halogen light source, which greatly reduces the intensity at 656nm using a dichroic filter. Although it reduces the total power of the light source, it increases the dynamic range by 20 times.
The output of AvaLight DH-S-BAL is a highly efficient continuous spectrum, with stable spectral bands in ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared from 200nm to 2500nm. It also includes a built-in TTL shutter and a bracket that can accommodate 50x50x5mm filters. TTL shutter can be controlled through AvaSpec spectrometer, and dark background can be automatically stored in AvaSoft PULL software (additional IC-DB26-2 wires need to be ordered).
The AvaLight DH-S-BAL light source has an SMA905 connector with an adjustable focus lens group and fiber and fiber bundle connections to ensure fiber coupling efficiency.
