Burkert solenoid valve, as an important control component, plays a crucial role in the field of industrial automation.
Working principle
The working principle of a direct acting solenoid valve is relatively simple:
1. When powered on: The electromagnetic coil generates electromagnetic force, lifting the closing component off the valve and causing it to open.
2. When the power is cut off: the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring presses the closing part back onto the valve, causing the valve to close.
When there is no pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, the electromagnetic force acts on the pilot small valve and the main valve closing member after being energized, causing the valve to open. When there is a pressure difference, the electromagnetic force first acts on the pilot valve, changing the pressure distribution on both sides of the main valve, and then uses the pressure difference to push the main valve open.
2、 Characteristics and advantages
1. Simple structure: Compared with other types of solenoid valves, the complex mechanical transmission structure has been eliminated, making the overall design more compact and easy to install and maintain.
2. Quick response: Using a driver to enable it to respond quickly and achieve rapid opening and closing of the valve core.
3. Energy conservation and environmental protection: Only a small amount of electricity is consumed during operation, without the need for additional energy to drive, which meets the requirements of modern industry for energy conservation and environmental protection.
4. Long lifespan: High quality materials and structural design ensure the stability and reliability of the equipment, enabling it to operate stably for a long time even in harsh conditions.
3、 Application Fields
Direct acting solenoid valves are widely used in multiple fields due to their performance:
1. Automated production line: used in automotive manufacturing, food processing, and packaging to control the flow and pressure of gases or liquids.
2. Wastewater treatment: In wastewater treatment plants, it is used to control the inlet and outlet valves of sewage pumping stations and sedimentation tanks.
3. Medical equipment: Ensure gas or liquid control in equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.
4. Gas equipment: In household gas stoves, it is used to control the inlet and outlet valves of gas.
4: Selection criteria:
1. Select the solenoid valve based on pipeline parameters: diameter specification (i.e. DN), interface
1) Determine the diameter (DN) size according to the on-site pipeline inner diameter size or flow requirements;
2) For interfaces larger than DN50, flange interfaces should be selected, while for interfaces smaller than or equal to DN50, users can freely choose according to their needs.
2. Select the material and temperature group of the solenoid valve based on fluid parameters
1) Corrosive fluids: corrosion-resistant solenoid valves and stainless steel should be selected; Edible ultra clean fluid: It is advisable to use food grade stainless steel electromagnetic valves;
2) Warm fluid: Choose electromagnetic valves made of heat-resistant electrical and sealing materials, and choose piston type structures;
3) Fluid state: up to gaseous, liquid or mixed state, especially when the diameter is greater than DN25, it must be distinguished;
4) Fluid viscosity: Usually below 50cSt, it can be freely selected. If it exceeds this value, a viscosity solenoid valve should be used.
3. Selecting solenoid valves based on pressure parameters: principles and structural types
1) Nominal pressure: This parameter has the same meaning as other common valves and is determined based on the nominal pressure of the pipeline;
2) Work pressure: If the work pressure is low, the principle of direct action or step-by-step direct action must be selected; When the minimum working pressure difference is above 0.04Mpa, direct acting, step-by-step direct acting, and pilot operated can all be selected.
4. Electrical selection: AC220V and DC24 should be preferred as the voltage specifications are more convenient.
5. Choose based on the duration of continuous work: normally closed, normally open, or continuously powered on
1) When the solenoid valve needs to be opened for a long time and the duration exceeds the closing time, the normally open type should be selected;
2) If the opening time is short or the opening and closing time is not long, choose the normally closed type;
3) However, for some working conditions used for safety protection, such as furnace and kiln flame monitoring, the normally open type cannot be selected, and the long-term electrified type should be selected.
6. Select auxiliary functions according to requirements: explosion-proof, check, manual, waterproof fog, water shower, diving.
