The 4043-1-480505-0201 American BIRD power sensor is designed to be used in conjunction with the 3141 channel power monitor (CPM) to provide composite power readings. These sensors are typically used to measure the average forward and reflected power on 50 ohm RF transmission lines, with a maximum forward and reflected power level of 500 watts in the frequency range of 144 to 940 MHz. 4043 has an RS-485 serial bus designed for transmitting data between CPM. The serial bus also serves as a power source for RF sensors. Each sensor is equipped with two RJ-25 sockets for serial communication, RF input and output connectors, and status indicators. The second RJ-25 socket can be used to extend the RS-485 bus to another digital sensor.

The 4043 also has a Bluetooth communication interface designed to connect to the Bird RF Meter application. After connection, the measurement data will be transmitted to the RF Meter application, which provides the current sensor measurement results in digital and graphical display.
