Axygen ® The filter cartridge anti aerosol suction head is extremely suitable for DNA amplification and microbiology applications, where even trace amounts of contamination can render the results ineffective. The filter element can form a physical barrier inside the suction head, inhibiting and blocking aerosols, thereby preventing cross contamination between samples. Each polyethylene filter cartridge does not contain DNA inhibitors and is automatically inserted into the suction head to avoid nuclease contamination. This type of suction head is packaged in a bottom sealed suction head box with a lid to prevent contamination and provide sterilization.
