ZHY type paint film automatic scratch tester
1、 Overview:
The ZHY automatic scratch tester is carefully designed and manufactured by our company in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB9279 "Scratch Test for Paints and Varnishes" and ISO 12137-2 "Determination of Scratch Resistance of Paints and Varnishes". This tester is used to determine the scratch resistance and penetration resistance of single or composite coating systems or water-based wood paints for paints and varnishes under standard conditions. This instrument adopts a high speed ratio and high output torque gear reducer to ensure constant needle movement speed under different test loads, resulting in high accuracy of test results. This instrument can currently perform experiments on two types of substrates. One is to test the scratch resistance of the coating of water-based wood paint and clear varnish. The substrate is metal, and whether the paint film is scratched can be intuitively obtained through the indication of the voltmeter on the instrument. The other is to test the scratch resistance of water-based wood paint. The substrate is wood, and whether the paint film is scratched is observed by the naked eye or magnifying glass.
2、 Main structure:
The automatic scratch tester uses a constant speed motor to drive the scratch needle to slide through gear rack transmission, with the scratch needle perpendicular to the paint film. The tip of the needle is a hemispherical needle made of hard steel with a diameter of 1mm. There is a bracket above, on which weights ranging from 50g to 2000g can be placed as needed. There is a balancing block at the rear of the bracket used to automatically balance the bracket. The rotating shaft of the weight bracket is supported by ball bearings, which allows for flexible rotation and reduces friction torque, thereby ensuring good repeatability of the pressure applied to the tip of the diamond needle and guaranteeing good repeatability of the test results. The instrument is equipped with a clamping mechanism for clamping the test plate. The rear of the bracket is equipped with a needle lifting bolt for lifting the needle when resetting it. There is a voltmeter on the panel of the machine. When the paint film on the sample is scratched through by the needle, the voltmeter will indicate, which can determine whether the paint film has been scratched through and eliminate human error.
