It is a new type of instrument for measuring the drying time of coatings. The coating film formed by various coatings can automatically and continuously display the state of each stage of the drying process in the form of a circular trajectory, and can intuitively analyze and observe the time used in each stage. It is an ideal instrument for coating testing and coating formula research.

2、 Main structure and working principle

The principle is: place the instrument on the prepared coating test board, connect the power supply and synchronous motor, and drive the rotating arm (5) equipped with a scratching needle (6) through the connecting shaft (4). (The arm is in a free hanging state) Rotate at a constant speed for one cycle/24 hours, and the needle will draw a circular trajectory with a diameter of 100mm on the coating film. Due to the gradual drying of the coating over time, the plow marks of the needle on the coating gradually narrow from wide to shallow, and eventually no trace can be drawn, indicating the entire drying process.

4、 Usage requirements:

1. Test panel: Glass panel (200 * 200 * 23). Or smooth tinplate (200 * 200 * 0.20.3) or agreed upon test plate material.

2. Test environment: According to the requirements of GB172779, the coated test panel should be placed horizontally, avoiding airflow and direct sunlight. The drying test should be conducted at a temperature of 25 ± 1 ° C and a relative humidity of 65 ± 5%, or according to other agreed conditions.
