The instrument adopts the principle of potentiometric titration, in which the indicator electrode, reference electrode, and auxiliary electrode are immersed in the test solution. Changes in the concentration of the test substance in the solution will cause a sharp change in the potential of the indicator electrode. After reaching the titration endpoint, the concentration of the test substance can be calculated based on the volume of the standard solution consumed. The instrument is suitable for determining thiol sulfur in hydrogen sulfide free jet fuel, gasoline, kerosene, and light diesel oil. The instrument consists of three parts: hardware circuit, titration device, and PC. With the support of software, it can achieve the determination of acid value, thiol sulfur content, and alkaline nitrogen content in petroleum products.
