Ausbian cell culture horse serumProduct Application

The specific applications of cell culture grade horse serum are listed as follows:

1. Horse serum can be used for cell culture and induction of stem cell differentiation, such as:

1) RPMI-1640 medium plus horse serum for culturing umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells

Reference: Li ChunliWang Jianwei, Jiang Rong, et al. Signal transduction of red blood cell proliferation induced by total saponins of Panax ginseng [J]. Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering, 2009 (23): 4568-4572).

2) Primary cultured neural cells. Someone used DMEM containing 10% horse serum to isolate and culture primary brain neurons from BALB/c mice. Compared with Neurobasal medium containing 2% nerve cell growth agent B27, DMEM medium containing 10% horse serum was found to be more cost-effective, convenient, and inexpensive.

(Reference: Li Dan)Lv Yaozhong, Wang Wei, etc Comparison of two methods for isolating and culturing primary neural cells from BALB/c mice using different culture media [C]. Annual Conference on Experimental Animal Science and Technology in Northern China Liaoning Experimental Animal Society, 2015

3) Inducing differentiation of adipose derived stem cells into myoblasts(Source: Liu Jie, Fu Qiang. The role of horse serum in adipocyte stem cell myogenesis induction [J]. Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering, 15 (14)).

4) Cultivate bone marrow stromal cells. Compared with fetal bovine serum, horse serum has a better proliferative effect on mouse bone marrow stromal cells(Source: Wang Gaiqin. Effects of Angelica sinensis polysaccharides on the expression of adhesion molecules and their adhesion function in mouse bone marrow stromal cells [D]. Thesis.) Chongqing Medical University, 2008.

5) Adding 20% horse serum to L-DMEM culture medium can induce the differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells into adipocytes.Literature sources: Zhao Wenjing, Chen Yajie, Liu Wei Isolation, culture, and biological characteristics of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells Chinese Journal of Modern Medicine. June 16 (18): 2744-2747

2. Adding horse serum to microbial culture medium can be used to cultivate microorganisms, such as:

1) Horse serum is added to the culture medium for the cultivation of mycoplasma. In the Veterinary Pharmacopoeia, mycoplasma culture medium containing horse serum is used for mycoplasma testing in veterinary vaccines. useKM2 medium (includingHorse serum)can alsoCultivate Porcine PneumoniaMycoplasma(Source: Hu Maozhi) Jiao Xin'anWait, wait Preparation and identification of monoclonal antibodies against Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae Chinese Veterinary Science and Technology, December 2004;

2) Horse serum added to solid and liquid culture media can be used for culturing Helicobacter pylori. Moreover, compared with sheep serum and bovine serum, the medium supplemented with horse serum is easier to package and preserve.(Reference sources: Liu Lina, Ding Shigang, Zhang Jing, et al. Comparison of several methods for culturing Helicobacter pylori [J]. Gastroenterology, 2012, 017 (004): 240-241.);

3. Horse serum and hormones can jointly induce the establishment of a rabbit model of femoral head ischemic necrosis.(Source: Hong Song, Zhang Tianhong. Hemorheology and lipid metabolism of non traumatic femoral head necrosis model)[C]. 2009Annual Guizhou Orthopedic Forum
