The compaction mechanism adopts an ironing plate and a vibrator installed in front of the ironing plate, or uses a vibrating ironing plate, or uses both the vibrator and the vibrating ironing plate to improve the compaction effect. The vibrating and ironing parts are hinged on both sides of the frame through left and right traction arms, which can float up and down and press forward on the paving layer.

During operation, the front push roller of the paver pushes the rear wheel of the material dump truck forward,And accept asphalt mixture. Asphalt mixture unloaded into the hopper,Two independently driven scraper conveyors are sent to the spiral paving chamber from the bottom of the bucket, and the feeding amount is controlled by the left and right gates of the rear bucket wall. The spiral paver has two spirals on the left and right sides, which evenly spread the material to both sides, but can also be independently driven on both sides. As the paver moves forward, the compacted and ironed parts perform preliminary compaction and leveling of the paving layer according to a certain width, thickness, and arch degree. The ironing board is equipped with a heating device to heat the bottom of the board during cold seasons or before the start of work, preventing the adhesion of asphalt mixture. Due to the floating characteristics of the ironing board, the elevation angle of the bottom surface of the ironing board relative to the ground can be adjusted through a thickness adjuster to regulate the thickness of the paving layer. During the homework process, the floating ironing board can also reduce the impact of uneven roadbed or pavement base on the smoothness of paving. Some pavers have their ironing plates combined with vibrators made into telescopic structures, and spiral pavers can be extended or shortened to pave roads of different widths. The adjustment of the ironing board can be manual or semi-automatic.
