When used in conjunction with an Ametek Bole viscometer/rheometer equipped with a T-shaped rotor, HPQA is highly suitable for viscosity/consistency measurements of materials such as pastes, putty, frost, gelatin, or wax. Spiral testing is also used to measure paints, dyes, photoresist inks, and many other thixotropic substances, whose viscosity decreases as the material is sheared.

As HPQA drives the Ametek Bole viscometer/rheometer to slowly move up and down, the rotating T-shaped rotor travels along a spiral trajectory within the sample. By constantly contacting "new" samples, the issue of voids or dispersion is resolved, ensuring the accuracy of viscosity/consistency measurements.

The one click reset button allows the bracket to automatically drive to the top (home position) position, facilitating rotor cleaning and sample replacement.
