IQAN-XS2 is an extension module for the IQANdesign platform. This type of unit is a flexible digital signal I/O module used as an extension unit in IQAN control systems. All IQAN expansion modules communicate with the main station through the CAN bus. The IQAN-XS2 module has a large number of inputs and outputs, allowing users to have fewer digital signal modules. The IQAN-XS2 module has eight voltage inputs for connecting 0-5 Vdc signals. The input is versatile and can be configured as a digital (on-off) input for flexibility. XS2 also has 12 dedicated digital inputs for receiving signals from various switches. The IQAN-XS2 module has 12 switch outputs for controlling the "bang bang" valve switch. These outputs can control six valve sections or twelve single solenoid devices (i.e. plug-in valves). The aluminum casing is designed to be sturdy and durable, yet lightweight, with a sealed automotive AMP/Tyco power timer connector. IQAN-XS2 has a membrane to prevent condensation inside the shell. This controller is designed specifically for outdoor environments.
