Allen Avionics Digital Video IsolatorAllen Avionics, Inc. was founded in 1960 and is a subsidiary of the AK Allen family of companies, including Allenair. Allen Avionics manufactures a wide range of standard and passive electronic products, including filters, delay lines, equalizers, isolation transformers, video buzzers and noise eliminators, and microwave components.
In 2017, Alkon Corp. acquired AK Allen family companies, including Allen Avionics, Inc. Under the new ownership, Allen Avionics will continue to provide customers with the products, quality, and services they expect. Avionics will operate as a division of Star Hydraulics, an Alkon company located in River Grove, Illinois. Star was founded in 1947 and became part of the Alkon family in 2012. Since then, Star has added ISO9001, lean business practices, invested in new equipment, added new products, and become an important member of the Alkon family.
Allen Avionics looks forward to continuing to meet the needs of our customers. Allen Avionics obtained ISO9001 certification from NSF in 2018. In addition, we have established a new production team in River Grove to continue producing products previously sold by Allen Avionics. Although this website does not include all projects, if you cannot find any content here, please contact us and we will learn how to assist you.
Since the early days of Avionics, our product designs have not only been able to work in certain environments, but have also been able to work continuously for many years. When Star acquired Allen Avionics in 2017, we extended our commitment to quality to the aviation electronics division. As we have resumed production of many aviation electronic products at Star, we have to review a part of the learning curve. We have made some mistakes, but we are tackling the root cause of quality issues from all aspects. We first purchased some new production equipment. By using lean improvement settings, continuous improvement, and occasional improvement activities, we have further improved processes, quality, and costs to keep prices unchanged. Allen Avionics has manufactured several different types of products to eliminate buzzing caused by grounding circuits, 50/60 Hz noise, or induced currents. All are broadcast quality. Match your needs with the products provided. Each series provided by Allen Avionics comes with data sheets and specifications to help you determine the products that are suitable for your application. General buzzing and noise reduction documents may also be helpful. If you are unsure or need any information, please contact us. The AGL series audio isolation transformer is designed to solve common audio problems such as buzzing, buzzing, noise, and line imbalance. These issues typically exist at the output of electronic devices by creating a ground loop in which common mode or EMI current can flow. The AGL series products are true isolation transformers designed for low distortion, linear phase response, and excellent pulse fidelity. This is achieved by expanding the bandwidth to over 300KHz (10 to 15 times the normal 20KHz bandwidth). The extended bandwidth ensures linear phase response, providing distortion free audio without losing its original harmonic content.

300KHz LPS series high-performance low-pass filter, available for fast supply
Allen Avionics mainly uses Chebyshev and Elliptical algorithms to design and manufacture low-pass filters. Our LPS series is a high-performance filter designed to pass through the fundamental frequency with attenuation below 1.0 dB and attenuate all harmonics by more than 95 dB. Their design uses specifications and techniques suitable for most precision signal conditioning high-performance testing applications. In typical applications, they are used to enhance the performance of all test generators and signal sources for testing A to D, D to A converters, amplifiers, and other electronic components. They improve the selectivity and dynamic range of all spectrum analyzers for measuring harmonic distortion and intermodulation. These filters are housed in shielded metal enclosures to provide optimal insulation for unwanted signals.
Frequency range: 1 KHz to 500 MHz
Impedance: 50 ohms
Maximum insertion loss: 1 dB
Maximum ripple: 0.25 dB
