Air Quality Sensor QS-01

Product Details

QS-01 is a tin dioxide semiconductor gas sensor with high sensitivity to various air pollution sources (such as VOCs) and fast response time. The sensor adopts a plastic housing with 3 pins, which can achieve excellent sensing characteristics at extremely low power consumption. This product is very suitable for application in air quality control systems, exhaust fans, and air fresheners.


structure

Gas sensitive semiconductor materials are distributed on an aluminum substrate, with electrodes drawn out from the aluminum substrate and a layer of ruthenium oxide coated on the back of the substrate as a heater. They are all encapsulated in plastic shells (Figure 1).

Figure 2 shows the standard working circuit of this sensor. The change in sensor resistance (Rs) is reflected in the voltage variation on the adjustable or constant load (Rl). In order to achieve the best operating characteristics, the heater voltage (Vh), operating voltage (Vc), and load (Rl) must comply with the standard operating conditions provided in the parameter table.

Sensitivity characteristics:

Figure 3 shows the sensitivity characteristic curve of QS-01 (typical value), which is reflected by the relationship between sensor resistance and gas concentration. There is a logarithmic relationship between the decrease in sensor resistance and the increase in gas concentration.
