Product Details

1、 Product Introduction:

(1) Agilent 2100 biological analyzer has replaced the tedious gel electrophoresis technology as the industry standard for RNA sample quality control (QC). At the same time, it rapidly replaces gel electrophoresis in DNA fragment analysis and SDS-PAGE analysis of protein samples.

(2) The advantage of the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is that it can be used for both electrophoretic separation, precise measurement and concentration quantification of each fragment, and flow cytometry analysis of cell fluorescence parameters. This versatility makes the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer a tool for molecular biologists and biochemists.

(3) The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer was introduced in 1999 and is an early commercial instrument that uses microfluidic technology for the analysis of biological samples. As of early 2010, there were over 7000 installations and more than 10000 literature citations.

5、 Product features:

(1) Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is a successful microfluidic based commercial platform that provides solutions for DNA, RNA, protein, and cell analysis. Results can be obtained within 30 minutes, providing automated, high-quality digital data.

(2) It is faster than gel electrophoresis (giving qualitative and quantitative digital data of up to 12 samples within 30 minutes).

(3) Highly reproducible and complete digital data.

(4) Easy to use and share.

(5) Quantify each independent fragment in each sample and provide purity results.

(6) Compliance services meet the requirements for working in designated environments (such as QA/QC laboratories)

6、 Technical parameters:

(1) RNA electrophoresis is used to determine the degree of RNA degradation and is applied in gene chips, high-throughput transcriptome sequencing, and quantitative analysis after conventional RT.

(2) Detection sensitivity, quantification: 25ng/ul; Qualitative: 5ng/ul

(3) DNA electrophoresis can accurately identify impurities and other phenomena, while also identifying the range of dispersed DNA bands. It can be used for electrophoresis analysis of DNA as low as 0.1ng and is applied to sample and library QC before high-throughput sequencing

7、 Application example:

1. RNAQC analysis

The integrity of RNA samples is crucial in microarray gene expression analysis technology. RNA samples are also used to construct cDNA libraries RT-PCR、 In vitro translation, ribonuclease (RNase) protection detection, Northern blotting, and other applications. When the RNA content of the sample is very low, it will face a special challenge, such as RNA isolated through microscopic dissection or RNA from low abundance flies. Because ribonucleases (RNases) are widely present, you must test the quality of total RNA or messenger RNA samples. Chip laboratory technology can make it easier and faster for you to analyze your samples. Just add RNA samples, start the chip, and observe the real-time data display. Only 5ng of total RNA (RNA6000Nano chip laboratory kit) or 200pg of total RNA (RNA6000Pico chip laboratory kit) is needed, and the system can automatically calculate the proportion of ribosomal bands in the total RNA sample or display the percentage of ribosomal impurities in the messenger RNA sample. More importantly, you will obtain a good concentration estimate and in many cases (RNANano chip laboratory kit), UV measurement is not necessary. By utilizing a marker calibration function, highly reproducible data can be obtained. Because data is digital, you can store it in a database or share it with colleagues in the same laboratory or around the world.

2. Quantitative analysis of gene expression

The DNA1000 chip laboratory kit, when used in conjunction with specific (RT) - PCR kits, can be used for quantitative analysis of genes in cancer diagnostics, cancer research, and other application fields. Through reasonable design, these tests can provide quantitative and accurate results over a wide dynamic range. Compared with other technologies (such as real-time RT-PCR), multiple PCR can analyze more genes in each reaction, and has the advantages of accuracy, convenience and many other advantages over gel electrophoresis. Please refer to an application example of 19 plex multiplex PCR. Our partners QIAGEN and Maxim Biotech provide products specifically designed for multiplex PCR applications.

3. DNA quality control in comparative genomic hybridization

Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) can simultaneously detect gene copy changes at multiple loci in the genome, providing an important research tool for tumor research, developmental abnormalities, or the development of diagnostic and therapeutic targets. Fully utilizing this technology for human disease research requires quality control of DNA prior to genome hybridization. Agilent 2100 Chip Bioanalysis System for Comparing Genomic Heterogeneity

4. Chip flow cytometry - easily obtain cell-based fluorescence detection parameters

The Agilent 2100 chip biological analyzer's cell fluorescence detection chip laboratory kit and cell detection extension provide simple flow cytometry detection for all scientists engaged in cell research, making the Agilent 2100 chip biological analyzer the platform for running RNA, DNA, protein, and cell analysis in the industry. On the basis of the electrodynamic liquid flow and electrophoretic separation functions of the Agilent 2101 chip bioanalyzer, the cell detection extension has added pressure driven microfluidic flow performance. The newly added performance extends the laboratory application system of the 2100 chip biological analyzer from electrophoresis separation detection to automatic two-color flow cytometry detection. In this way, a wide range of cell parameters and multiple cell samples can be measured, with the convenience of fluorescence microscopy operation, and the information quality of flow cytometry can also meet your expectations. In short, six samples with a capacity of 10 μ l each, each containing 20000 pre stained cells, were loaded onto a chip. Each sample contained 750 cells located in two channels, and the fluorescence intensity could be measured within 25 minutes.

5. A better way to analyze protein samples

Are you engaged in expressing recombinant proteins, purifying proteins, stability research, or antibody research? The enhanced protein 200 and enhanced protein 50 chip laboratory kits, jointly developed with Caliper Life Sciences, Inc, provide an easy and fast way to analyze various samples using laboratory chip technology. When used in conjunction with the Agilent 2100 chip bioanalyzer, each chip can provide information on the size, purity, and concentration of 10 different protein samples. Simply add the protein sample, start the chip operation, and observe the real-time data display. The test can be completed in less than 30 minutes. No gel and buffer, lengthy staining or imaging steps required by traditional SDS-PAGE technology are required. The protein laboratory chip kit provides all the reagents needed for experiments in its compact packaging. Because data is digitized, you can store it in a database or share it with colleagues from different laboratories and around the world.
