Acoustic impedance densitometer is an instrument that uses the principle of acoustic impedance to measure fluid density. Acoustic impedance (Z) is defined as the product of the density (ρ) of the medium and the speed of sound (c). By measuring the reflection and transmission characteristics of sound waves in fluids, acoustic impedance density meters can calculate the density of fluids.

Working Principle:
The working principle of acoustic impedance densitometer is based on the acoustic impedance formula Z=ρ c. When the sound waves emitted by the ultrasonic probe come into contact with the fluid, a portion of the sound wave energy will be reflected, while another portion will be transmitted into the fluid. The energy reflected and transmitted is related to the acoustic impedance of the fluid. By analyzing the changes in the energy of these sound waves, the density meter can calculate the density of the fluid.
Acoustic impedance densitometerThe host pre stores temperature and sound velocity characteristic parameter curves for various media, and calculates the required process control parameters based on these curves.
The host is based on dual microprocessor digital signal processing technology, which can work stably and reliably even under harsh working conditions, making it very suitable for controlling complex process. The input and output configuration is flexible, and temperature measurement can be completed through the built-in temperature probe. It can simultaneously measure and display concentration and flow rate. There are two types of measuring probes for acoustic impedance concentration meters, one is plug-in and the other is clip on. When using a clamp probe, calibration is usually required. The plug-in probe is particularly suitable for concentration measurement in batch reactors and mixers, with precision and reliability. After factory calibration, there is no need to zero or set on site, and measurement can start immediately after installation.
The acoustic impedance densitometer emits signals from the probe head:
1. Part of the energy enters the slurry
2. Part of it is reflected on the surface of the slurry and probe.
3. The amount of reflected energy is related to the acoustic impedance of the slurry.
Temperature correction: The temperature measurement is 0.1 degrees, using a high-precision PT1000 platinum resistor. The probe can be temperature calibrated in the laboratory, and temperature errors can be compensated for through software.
