HR1001AGS-ZIt is an enhanced LLC controller developed by Monolith Power Systems (MPS), featuring adaptive dead time adjustment (ADTA) and capacitive mode protection (CMP), suitable for high-efficiency resonant converter design. This chip is packaged in SOIC-16 and supports 600V high side gate drive. It is widely used in fields such as AC/DC adapters, server power supplies, LCD TVs, and telecommunications equipment.
HR1001A is the overcurrent protection (OCP) automatic recovery version of HR1001B. HR1001A is an enhanced LLC controller with new features such as adaptive dead time adjustment (ADTA) and capacitive mode protection (CMP). The adaptive dead time adjustment function will automatically insert a dead time between two complementary gate outputs. This is achieved by keeping the output turned off while detecting the dv/dt current at the half bridge switch node. ADTA has the characteristics of simpler design, lower electromagnetic interference (EMI), and higher efficiency. HR1001A integrates anti capacitive mode protection function, which can prevent capacitive mode switches that may cause damage in the event of output short circuit or severe overload. This feature can protect MOSFETs in abnormal situations, making the converter more reliable. HR1001A has a programmable oscillator that can set the maximum and minimum switching frequencies. It starts at the programmed maximum switching frequency and gradually decreases until the control loop takes over to prevent excessive surge currents. HR1001A enters a controlled intermittent mode during light load to minimize power consumption and enhance output voltage regulation. HR1001A has rich protection features, including two-stage overcurrent protection (OCP), automatic recovery, external latch turn off, undervoltage/overvoltage protection, capacitive mode protection (CMP), and over temperature protection (OTP), which can improve the safety of converter design with minimal additional components.
