Cement kilns mainly use oxygen rich materials with a concentration of 24% to 90% for combustion assistance. The output of oxygen production equipment is mostly below 10000Nm3/h, which is an ideal parameter range for pressure swing adsorption equipment. Multiple combinations can be used for larger scale gas production equipment.

Based on the independently developed and produced new high-efficiency lithium based air separation oxygen adsorbent PU-8, Peking University Pioneer Company has successfully developed a complete set of pressure swing adsorption oxygen production technology. At the same time, the successful development of airflow distributor design technology has solved the problem of uniform airflow distribution in large-diameter shallow adsorption beds and achieved the large-scale production of oxygen production equipment. This technology won the first prize for scientific and technological progress in 2006. According to user needs, Peking University Pioneer Company can provide complete sets of pressure swing adsorption air separation oxygen production equipment, or cooperate through equipment leasing, on-site gas supply, etc. It can also use PU-8 high-efficiency oxygen production adsorbent to carry out technical transformation of the user's original oxygen production equipment.

Peking University Pioneer has successfully completed the acceptance of the pressure swing adsorption oxygen production equipment (scale 5000Nm3/h, purity>90%) supplied to the cement company under the South Korean cement enterprise - Shuanglong Group, and all indicators have met the design requirements. This oxygen production equipment will provide high-quality oxygen enriched products for the oxygen enriched combustion process of multiple cement kilns, and has been officially put into production. This project is the first oxygen production equipment exported by Peking University Pioneer to the South Korean cement industry, which is of milestone significance in promoting the application of the company's pressure swing adsorption oxygen production process in the overseas cement field.

In the process of cement production, energy costs account for more than 50% of the total production cost, and furnaces, as the core calcination equipment in cement production, are also equipment that consumes a lot of fuel in the cement production process. Cement kilns usually use coal powder as fuel, which is sent to the burner and burned with air supplied by a blower. If oxygen rich combustion technology is adopted, with the help of oxygen content higher than that of air composition, better combustion supporting effect can be achieved, making fuel combustion more complete, increasing the combustion temperature of coal powder, shortening the burnout time, and thus improving the comprehensive fuel efficiency of the system; In addition, oxygen enriched combustion can increase the combustion temperature of the flame and stabilize the combustion atmosphere, which can enhance the strength of the clinker and further increase the production of cement clinker.

The pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) oxygen production technology can be applied to cement kilns of various scales, enabling one-to-one or one to many operations. It has a short construction period, flexible operation, and strong load adaptability, and has obvious advantages in energy-saving renovation projects.
