Xgig 1000 can be remotely managed through a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connection. On site engineers and IT administrators can also easily access the Xgig 1000 through the USB 2.0 B-type interface on site, allowing customers to directly connect their PCs to the device, access platform status, and update firmware and licenses.

This platform includes an API library (C/C++and TCL) and supports all functions. APIs allow users to write scripts and automatically execute complex functions, enabling users at all levels to run complex tests with just a few button clicks. The API seamlessly integrates with internal and commercial management consoles, which can control and manage devices and directly retrieve test results. Xgig is exceptionally flexible, allowing multiple users to control different port pairs on a hardware platform to perform various tests simultaneously, thereby improving device efficiency and technician productivity. At any time, up to 32 users can simultaneously access locked ports to view test status or data.

Four Xgig testing applications provide extensive network visibility to address the most elusive errors and damages.

  • TraceControl uses an intelligent trigger condition set between any two endpoints to record all traffic (frames and instruction sets) or specific events.

  • TraceView uses industry standard trace viewer format to reveal captured traces and adds navigation tools for deep packet investigation.

  • By displaying a summary of network topology issues and reporting network performance statistics, Expert automatically tracks and analyzes to accelerate debugging.
