1. Equipment Description

According to the ANSI/ESDS20.20 standard, employees' grounding measures must be tested daily. 19270 can detect whether the grounding resistance of employees wearing wrist straps and anti-static shoes is within the qualified range. Detailed regulations can be found in the ESD anti-static manual TR20.20.

3. Product usage

1. Installed at the entrance of EPA (Static Control Area), it detects whether the electricity grounded by the wrist strap and work shoes of the human body is qualified

2. Simultaneously test wrist strap grounding and work shoe grounding (left/right foot independent testing)

3. Can test single and double wrist straps

4. Optional 50755 sensing handle, can also be tested with gloves/finger cots

5. Three sets of LEDs indicate high/qualified/low resistance values for the wrist strap, left shoe, and right shoe, respectively

6. Equipped with normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) dry contacts, it can be connected to external access control, alarm lights, or other devices

4. Product Features

1. Simultaneously test whether the human body is properly grounded through the wrist strap, left shoe, and right shoe.

※ Attention: Equipment usage environment requirements:

1. Environmental humidity: 5-30 ℃. When the upper threshold is set to 1G Ω, the temperature needs to be within the range of 21-31 ℃

2. Relative humidity: 10%~65% (without water vapor condensation). When the upper threshold is set to 1G Ω, the humidity cannot exceed 50% (without water vapor condensation)

5. Testing methods

1. After the product installation is completed and the power is turned on, the instrument first performs a self check. At this time, all indicator lights flash 3 times and an alarm sound is emitted 3 times

2. All indicator lights do not light up in standby mode. Only the blue background light of the test key flashes cyclically

3. Put on the wristband and insert the other end into the wristband socket (pay attention to distinguishing between the sockets of single and double wristbands)

4. Place both feet on the left/right pedals respectively

5. Press and hold the test key with your fingers, and the blue light stops flashing to indicate the start of the test. After about 1 second, the corresponding indicator light will turn on to indicate the end

6. If the finger leaves the test key too quickly, all indicator lights will flash three times and emit three alarm sounds, indicating that the test is unsuccessful

7. The test is qualified, and the corresponding green indicator light is on. After the finger leaves the test key, it emits 3 alarm sounds to indicate the end of the test

8. The alarm volume can be adjusted by rotating clockwise to increase the volume and vice versa

※ Indicator light/alarm sound:

◎ Yellow light on: Unqualified, resistance value greater than the upper threshold, emitting a long alarm sound

◎ Green light on: Qualified. After the finger leaves the test key, the green light will turn off and emit 3 alarm sounds to indicate the end of the test

◎ Red light on: Unqualified, resistance below the lower threshold, emitting a long alarm sound

6. Precautions

1. When the upper limit of anti-static shoes is set to 1G Ω, it is necessary to keep the surface of the foot pedal clean. Testing may be inaccurate when the relative humidity exceeds 50%

2. Keep the test fingers dry. After long-term use, oil stains may cause short circuits between the inner and outer conductors of the test key. Regularly clean the test key with alcohol

3. Before connecting the power supply, the test meter must be properly grounded in order to function properly

4. The test table without grounding will damage the internal chip

5. When cleaning the floor, avoid leaving water stains on the surface or around the foot pedal, and make sure to keep the back of the foot pedal dry

6. Climate or seasonal changes lead to changes in air humidity, and the moisture absorbed by anti-static shoes made of hydrophilic materials changes, resulting in unstable testing. This is not a problem with the testing instrument, but rather a change in the resistance value of the anti-static shoes.

7. The resistance of cheap insulated shoes on the market only reaches 108-109 ohms, so it is possible to test within the qualified range of anti-static

8. Ordinary footwear may fall within the anti-static qualification range during testing due to its absorption of moisture

7. Product maintenance, calibration, and warranty

Product maintenance and precautions:

1. Be careful not to use this device in high dust and high humidity environments

2. Regularly clean the surface of the pedal and check for water accumulation between the pedal and the floor, keeping it dry

3. Regularly clean and test the internal/external metal bodies of the device, and keep the space between the internal/external metal bodies clean and dry

4. The wrist strap socket is made of special materials and is usually not easily damaged. Do not install sockets and leads by yourself, as self modification will result in loss of warranty rights!

5. When connecting an external electronic door lock, the external power supply should not exceed the rated current. Line burnout caused by exceeding the rated current is not covered by the warranty!

6. The testing surface uses high-speed comparative testing chips, and human static electricity can cause damage to the chips. Therefore, reliable grounding must be ensured before connecting the power supply. When the finger touches the test key, the instrument first conducts the static electricity of the human body to the ground, and then applies voltage for testing. Chip damage caused by improper grounding is not covered by the warranty
