KUSTA1.9MPL-24V Purpose:KUSTA1.9MPL-24V multiplexed near-infrared spectrometerVery suitable for recycling applications. This spectrometer can be connected to probe wires (64 measurement tracks) through fiber optic cables. In this case, a spatially resolved classified material record will be generated. The spatial resolution is suitable for detecting particles larger than 30 millimeters. Due to its high spectral resolution, even small spectral differences can be detected, enabling separation similar to plastics such as ABS and PS. The scanning rate of up to 70 Hz enables identification and detection of material flow at conveyor belt speeds of up to 3 meters per second
Installation setup: The light reflected from the object is collected by the optical fiber of the probe line and then projected onto the spectrometer/sensor one by one through a rotating mirror. For each orbit, record and classify the complete near-infrared spectrum. By recombining the classification results of all tracks, identification of the complete material flow can be obtained. The multiplexed near-infrared spectrometer is combined with the PMAmpl probe line for linear scanning detection of material flow on the conveyor belt of the recycling plant. The delivery scope includes near-infrared spectrometers, industrial grade PCs, and comprehensive control and analysis software. The standard configuration also includes an RGB color sensor.

Analysis and control software: The KUSTA1.9MPL-24V spectrometer comes with a comprehensive set of software. The control software KustaMPL (Figure 4) allows for adjusting spectrometer parameters and monitoring spectrometer status. In addition to the control options for the spectrometer, KustaMPL also implements several standardized interfaces for transmitting data to external process control devices. Important device parameters are password protected, so only authorized maintenance personnel can change them. In addition, application routines can be modified in service mode to simplify the adaptation of multiplexed near-infrared spectrometers to different sorting tasks. In addition, LLA also provides chemometric software (KustaSpec) for application development and software (Kusta Online Belt) for real-time visualization of material flow
