The types of modified polymers include polyethylene glycol (PEG), polyacrylamide (PPA), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), etc. Among them, PEG is a commonly used one. PEG molecules and phospholipid molecules form PEG derived phospholipids through covalent bonding, which can protect liposomes and improve their physical, chemical, and biological stability. PEG derived phospholipids can reduce the leakage rate of liposomes, decrease their aggregation and fusion, and prolong their shelf life. In the systemic circulation, it can inhibit cell adhesion, block RES recognition and uptake of liposomes, and prolong the in vivo circulation time of liposomes. Therefore, this type of liposome is also known as long circulating liposome. If (DSPC), (CH), and. distearoyl phosphatidylethanolamine (DSPE) - PEG2000 are used to prepare chain kinase liposomes by freeze-thaw method, the tz and AUC are increased by 16.3 times and 6.1 times, respectively, compared to directly using the drug. PEG phospholipid derivatives can significantly prolong the circulation time of liposomes.
