A pressure reducing valve is an intelligent valve that uses the energy of the medium itself to regulate and control pipeline pressure. Used for domestic water supply, fire water supply, and other industrial water supply systems, the outlet pressure of the main valve can be adjusted by regulating the pressure reducing pilot valve. The export pressure does not change due to changes in import pressure or import flow rate, and can be safely and reliably maintained at the set pressure. The set value can be adjusted as needed to achieve the purpose of pressure reduction. The valve has precise pressure reduction, stable performance, safety and reliability, easy installation and adjustment, and long service life.
Technical parameters of pressure reducing valve:
1. Nominal pressure: 1.0MPa, 1.6MPa, 2.5MPa
2. Shell test pressure: P=1.5PN
3. Sealing test pressure: P=1.1PN
4. Export pressure: PN1.0MPa regulating valve 0.09~0.8MPa
PN1.6MPa regulating valve 0.10~1.2MPa
PN2.5MPa regulating valve 0.15~1.6MPa
5. Applicable medium: water
6. Applicable temperature: 0 ℃~80 ℃
The pressure reducing valve mainly controls the fixed outlet pressure of the main valve. The outlet pressure of the main valve does not change due to changes in the inlet pressure, nor does it change due to changes in the outlet flow rate of the main valve. Suitable for industrial water supply, fire water supply, and domestic water pipe network systems.
A pressure reducing valve is a specialized device that automatically reduces the working pressure of a pipeline. It can reduce the high water pressure in the pipeline before the valve to the required level in the pipeline after the valve. Pressure reducing valves are widely used in high-rise buildings, areas with high water pressure in urban water supply networks, mines, and other occasions to ensure that each water point in the water supply system receives appropriate service water pressure and flow. Given that the leakage rate and degree of water waste are almost proportional to the water pressure in the water supply system, pressure reducing valves have the potential to improve system operating conditions and save water. According to statistics, their water-saving effect is about 30%.
There are many types of pressure reducing valves, including membrane type and internal spring piston type, which were commonly used in the past. The basic principle of a pressure reducing valve is to reduce water pressure by relying on the local resistance of the flow channel in the valve to the water flow. The range of water pressure drop is automatically adjusted by the inlet and outlet water pressure difference on both sides of the diaphragm or piston connected to the valve disc. In recent years, some new types of pressure reducing valves have emerged, such as fixed ratio pressure reducing valves, whose construction principle is shown in Figure 14.2-2. The principle of fixed ratio pressure reduction is to use the water pressure ratio control of the floating piston in the valve body, and the pressure reduction ratio at the inlet and outlet ends is inversely proportional to the area ratio of the piston on the inlet and outlet sides. This pressure reducing valve works smoothly without vibration; There is no spring inside the valve body, so there is no concern of spring corrosion or metal fatigue failure; Good sealing performance without leakage, thus reducing both dynamic pressure (when water flows) and static pressure (when flow rate is 0); Especially when reducing pressure without affecting water flow.
Pressure reducing valves usually come in various specifications such as DN50 to DN100. The working pressures before and after the valve are<1MPa and 0.1 to 0.5MPa, respectively, with a pressure regulation range error of ± 5% to 10%.
It should be noted that although there is a significant head loss when the water flows through the pressure reducing valve, it is still energy-saving overall due to the reduction of water waste, the rational distribution of system flow, and the improvement of system layout and operating conditions.
