Among them, innovative small and medium-sized enterprises have a high level of specialization, strong innovation capabilities, and development potential. They are the foundation of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises and an important "reserve force" for cultivating specialized, refined, and innovative enterprises.

In recent years, Shenzhen has continuously strengthened the cultivation of high-quality small and medium-sized enterprises, vigorously cultivating and developing specialized, refined, unique and new "little giants" and "enterprises". Data shows that in 2022, Shenzhen added 20 new manufacturing industries, totaling 67, ranking among the top in large and medium-sized cities in China; added 275 specialized, refined, unique and new "little giants" enterprises, ranking second in the number of new enterprises in large and medium-sized cities in China, with a total of 442, ranking third in the number of new enterprises in large and medium-sized cities in China.
