instrumentb2bThe training and exchange meeting on the theme of "Enzyme Awakening: Green Biological Manufacturing 2025" in the East China region has come to a successful conclusion

On December 11th, the warm winter atmosphere in Suzhou was blended by Tianmu Biology andChinese Academy of SciencesThe "Enzyme Awakening: Green Biomanufacturing 2025" themed training and exchange conference jointly organized by Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering Technology has come to a successful conclusion. Nearly 30 partners and users from the fields of biomanufacturing, pharmaceuticals, synthetic biology, enzyme engineering, etc. engaged in in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge enzyme engineering technologies, ultra-high throughput screening solutions, and industrial applications. Through theoretical collisions and practical experiences, they further learned and explored the application and development of green biomanufacturing technology.

Researcher Ma Fuqiang from Suzhou Institute of Medical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, brings you a report titled "AI-FADS based Pharmaceutical Enzyme Creation and Application". With the core of "the transformation of the biomanufacturing industry under the dual carbon goal", the report breaks down the underlying logic of enzymes as "green catalysts" - from molecular modification of enzymes to large-scale applications, from pharmaceutical enzyme engineering to synthetic biology. Each industry case clearly shows that enzyme technology is not a "future concept", but a "cost reduction and efficiency enhancement tool" that can be implemented now.

Chen Xiao, an application expert from Tianmu Biotechnology, gave a report on "Ultra High Flux Enzyme Screening Driven by Liquid Drop Microfluidics" to the attending guests, focusing on the pain points of industry implementation and explaining in detail the technical principles and application scenarios of DREAM cells. By comparing clear data, actual project results, and published case studies, Tianmu Biotechnology shared its solution for the entire enzyme screening process, from gene mutation library construction, single-cell droplet encapsulation, to positive droplet sorting and validation. The screening work, which originally took several weeks, was accelerated to 1-2 days, achieving mature applications in fields such as medicinal enzymes and molecular diagnostic enzymes.

After the report is completed, we will proceed to the operational demonstration stage: from sample preparation to droplet generation, incubation, detection and sorting, as well as data reading. Engineers from Tianmu Biotechnology will give on-site demonstrations and step-by-step explanations to the participants, allowing them to further understand and master the workflow of droplet microfluidic technology in practical application scenarios.

Subsequently, the participants walked into the Key Laboratory of Biomedical Laboratory Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, closely observed the entire process equipment of enzyme preparation research and development, and had a full exchange with laboratory researchers on topics such as "optimization of enzyme stability" and "industrial cooperation docking".

From expert report sharing, to practical exercises, to laboratory visits, this training and exchange meeting is not only about sharing technical cases, but also about further understanding and mastering the application advantages of microfluidic technology in enzyme engineering. Thanks to the deep collaboration of Suzhou Institute of Medical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and also thanks to the enthusiastic participation of every participant. Tianmu Biotechnology will forge ahead and look forward to working with more colleagues in the future to unlock more possibilities for green manufacturing with innovative cutting-edge technologies.
