General process: The high-pressure infusion pump delivers the mobile phase at a stable flow rate (or pressure) to the analysis system. Before the chromatographic column, the sample is introduced through an injector. The mobile phase brings the sample into the chromatographic column, where each component is separated and sequentially flows with the mobile phase to the detector. Inhibition ion chromatography adds an inhibition system before the conductivity detector, which uses another high-pressure infusion pump to deliver the regeneration solution to the inhibitor. In the suppressor, the background conductivity of the mobile phase is reduced, and then the effluent is introduced into the conductivity cell. The detected signal is sent to the data processing system for recording, processing, or storage. Non inhibitory ion chromatography does not require suppressors or high-pressure pumps for transporting regeneration solution, so the instrument structure is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap.
Intelligent ion chromatographThe selection rules for detection methods:
1. For acids and bases without UV or visible absorption and strong dissociation, use a conductivity detector.
2. Ions with electrochemical activity and weak dissociation are detected using an amperometric detector.
3. For ions themselves or complexes generated after column reaction, ions and compounds that have absorption or fluorescence in UV visible light, use UV visible light detector or fluorescence detector.
4. If there are several options to choose from for the problem to be solved, the determination of the analysis plan is mainly determined by the type and selectivity of the matrix, the complexity of the process, and whether it is economical.
