instrumentb2bPrecautions for using deuterium lamps
Deuterium lampSafety protection measures during use
It is recommended to wear UV goggles, as high-energy, low wavelength UV light can cause significant damage to the retina of the naked eye.
Even if exposed to cold deuterium lamps, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and goggles. High intensity arcs have a pressure of 0.5 atmospheres when cold and may rupture inward. Unless your system is quite stable, it is recommended not to use deuterium lamps without human supervision.
  Deuterium lampNormal service life
Deuterium lampFor consumables, the general service life is 500-800 hours for domestically produced deuterium lamps and 1000 hours for imported deuterium lamps (some have a long service life of up to 2000 hours). In general, if the light emitting hole of the deuterium lamp turns black, it should be considered whether the service life of the deuterium lamp has expired. The emission intensity of deuterium lamps during normal use is a very slow process of attenuation. When the lifespan of a deuterium lamp is approaching, the intensity of light it emits will decay rapidly until it can no longer light up. If the failure to light up persists, it is a signal of a problem with the deuterium lamp.
Deuterium lampThe wavelength range for use
Deuterium lamps mainly produce ultraviolet light in the wavelength range of 190-400nm. Mainly relying on plasma discharge (referring to keeping the deuterium lamp in a stable deuterium element (D2 or heavy hydrogen) arc state at all times. Deuterium lamp is a light source used in the ultraviolet band, and the wavelength range of the light it emits is generally 190-400nm. It is a continuous spectral band. The wavelength range for deuterium lamps is generally around 190-360nm. The reason why ultraviolet light with wavelengths below 190nm is difficult to use is that its wavelength range is absorbed by the quartz sheath outside the deuterium lamp.
