Infrared thermometerThere are many methods for measuring temperature, and thermometers can be roughly divided into two categories: contact thermometers and non-contact thermometers. Among them, contact thermometers include familiar liquid thermometers, thermocouple thermometers, and resistance thermometers, among others.
In nature, when the temperature of an object is above zero degrees, due to the existence of internal thermal motion, it will continuously radiate electromagnetic waves in all directions, including infrared radiation with a wavelength range of 0.75 µ m to 100 µ m. His greatest characteristic is that at a given temperature and wavelength, the radiation energy emitted by an object has a maximum value. This substance is called a blackbody, and its reflection coefficient is set to 1. Other substances with a reflection coefficient less than 1 are called gray bodies, because the spectral radiation power P (λ T) of a blackbody satisfies Planck's law with respect to temperature T. At temperature T, the radiation power of a blackbody per unit area at wavelength λ is P (λ T).
Determining the temperature measurement range: The temperature measurement range is the most important performance indicator of a thermometer. Each model of thermometer has its own specific temperature measurement range. Therefore, the user's measured temperature range must be considered accurately and comprehensively, neither too narrow nor too wide. According to the blackbody radiation law, the change in radiation energy caused by temperature in the short wavelength of the spectrum will exceed the change in radiation energy caused by emissivity error.
Infrared ThermometerCharacteristic 1: Non contact measurement: It does not require contact with the interior or surface of the measured temperature field, so it will not interfere with the state of the measured temperature field, and the thermometer itself is not damaged by the temperature field. 2. Wide measurement range: As it is a non-contact temperature measurement, the thermometer is not located in a high or low temperature field, but works under normal temperature or conditions allowed by the thermometer. In general, it can measure negative tens of degrees to over 3000 degrees. 3. Fast temperature measurement speed: i.e. fast response time. As long as the infrared radiation of the target is received, the temperature can be set in a short period of time.
