On the morning of November 30, 2019, all the staff gathered and set out from the downstairs of the company, with a total of five cars, heading for Xishan Island of the Taihu Lake Lake in the long lost sunshine. The purpose of today's blessing and orange picking activity is to make wishes, bless the company, bless oneself, and bless the family with a bright future.
At noon, I came to the lakeside restaurant near Guanyin Great Zen Temple for a meal. Although it was not a feast, it was authentic and delicious; Although there is no fine wine, there is a good mood to accompany. After dinner, everyone drove three kilometers to Guanyin Dachan Temple Square. The tobacco leaves of the three incense burners are ethereal, and the guests worship them. In the sunshine, the newly built temple is magnificent. On the back mountain top, Guanyin Bodhisattva stands tall and glitters with golden light. She looks down on pilgrims and the distant the Taihu Lake Lake. The prayer activity began, and everyone invited incense and devoutly worshipped Buddha in front of the incense burner, making sincere wishes.
Climbing a mountain requires climbing up the stairs, which are made of granite and are over thirty meters wide. There is a two meter wide canal in the middle, and the rushing water continuously flows down from the mountaintop, as if it were gospel music and beautiful poetry, making people feel no hardship and their hearts go straight up. In less than half an hour, I arrived at Guanyin Terrace, revered Guanyin, clasped my hands together, and silently prayed for mercy. And Guanyin is moving, holding a lotus in her left hand and indicating in her right hand, seemingly accommodating every visitor who comes. Everyone puts money into the merit box and faces Guanyin to seek their wishes.
In the afternoon, everyone eagerly hoped to go up the mountain to pick oranges and have a good harvest. The Orange Mountain is not far, about 300 meters away from the gate of Guanyin Great Zen Temple. The so-called Jushan is actually planted together with tea trees. Picking tea in spring and oranges in autumn, there are two harvests in a year, and the villagers are happy about it.
Going up the mountain is a small fork, and everyone rushes up one after another. Probably blindly following, everyone followed to the top of Orange Mountain. In fact, there were very few orange trees on the mountain top, and only a few oranges were picked. Moreover, the oranges were dry and not sweet, which was disappointing. Saying no more, they all went down the mountain. The person who took us up the mountain was an elderly man in his late seventies. He didn't speak Mandarin and couldn't communicate well with everyone. After walking a hundred steps, he asked his wife for directions. She climbed about ten meters and watched everyone climb the mountain. When I was going down the mountain, I happened to meet the old lady and criticized her, saying that there were no orange trees or oranges. The old lady said there is, it's nearby. She waved her hand and pointed, dozens of pairs of eyes pointing in the direction the old lady pointed. Oh! There are quite a few orange trees, with scattered orange highlights like stars in the sky, eye-catching. At this moment, everyone was excited and shouted loudly, heading straight to the orange orchard.
Everyone is satisfied with picking and eating. Just one tree can satisfy two or three people to eat and pick. Time passed by in a blink of an hour, picking hard and eating happily. Everyone was about to have a bountiful harvest, carrying a bag full of fresh, shiny, and sweet oranges down the mountain.
The company's blessing and orange picking activity came to a successful end as the sun set in the west.
