Hebei Province Carbon Measurement Center unveiled its plaque

In order to promote the implementation of the Action Plan for Implementing the Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Standard Measurement System in Hebei Province, strengthen the construction of the carbon measurement monitoring system, and assist in the green and low-carbon development of industries in our province, the unveiling event of the Hebei Carbon Measurement Center was held in Shijiazhuang on October 23. This event is hosted by the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation and jointly organized by Hebei Metrology and Testing Technology Center, Hebei University of Science and Technology, and Hebei Ziyue Equipment Co., Ltd.

He Jianghai, Secretary of the Party Group of the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, Zhu Liguang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hebei University of Science and Technology, Wang Haining, Second level Inspector of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Yang Long, Chairman of Hebei Ziyue Equipment Co., Ltd. attended and delivered speeches. Leaders from the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Shijiazhuang University, State Grid Hebei Electric Power Co., Ltd., and State Grid Jibei Electric Power Co., Ltd. also attended. Chen Peihong, First level Inspector of the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, presided over the event.

He Jianghai pointed out that the establishment of Hebei Province Carbon Measurement Center is a specific measure taken by the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau to focus on the economic and social development needs of our province, fully play the basic support and leading role of measurement in promoting low-carbon and green development, and promote the early realization of the "dual carbon" goal in our province. The establishment of the center will build a carbon measurement public service platform for the government, industry, and enterprises, further promoting the close integration of carbon measurement work with efficient resource utilization, green energy development, and industrial restructuring.

Hebei University of Science and Technology stated that universities undertake important functions such as talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services. They have a significant responsibility in promoting carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and facilitating China's green and low-carbon transformation and development process. Establishing the Hebei Province Carbon Measurement Center, focusing on research on carbon measurement related technologies, path exploration, and institutional construction, promoting the transformation of key industries from macro "carbon accounting" to precise "carbon measurement", will help improve the carbon peak and carbon neutrality measurement system, and will undoubtedly contribute to the green and low-carbon development of industries in our province.

Hebei Ziyue Equipment Co., Ltd. stated that it will rely on the Carbon Measurement Center platform to assist the government and relevant departments in overcoming difficulties and breakthroughs in carbon monitoring technology and instruments. Through scientific and technological means and the collection of accurate carbon emission data, it will provide solid data support and technical guarantee for China to achieve its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.

At the event, the attending leaders jointly unveiled the plaque for the "Hebei Carbon Measurement Center" and the co building units signed a cooperation agreement. Special experts gave special lectures on "Research on the Construction of Carbon Measurement System in Hebei Province under the Dual Carbon Target" and "Construction of Multi scale Greenhouse Gas Monitoring and Measurement System in China".

More than 150 guests, including relevant departments of the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, metrological administrative departments and technical institutions of various cities, representatives of relevant enterprises, universities, academic associations, and mainstream media reporters, participated in the event.
